This ticket does not include transport. Drive up, take a tour bus, use the FGC R5 + Cremallera or Aeri separately, or join one of the guided day trips from Barcelona. See the related tickets below if you'd like a combined package.
Go to the Tourist Information at the top of the mountain — it's right at the entrance to the sanctuary square. Show your voucher and you'll receive printed tickets for the basilica, the museum and your audio guide.
Visit the basilica at your time slot, see the museum, watch the Portes Endins exhibition, and listen to the audio guide in your own language. Return your audio guide when you leave.
A focused half-day on Montserrat
One sample itinerary for travellers using the Monastery Ticket — a focused cultural visit, between three and four hours on the mountain.
- 10:00 Arrive at the sanctuary square. Pick up tickets and audio guide at the Tourist Information.
- 10:15 Start with the audiovisual exhibition "Portes Endins" — about 25 minutes.
- 10:45 Walk through the basilica with the audio guide in your own language.
- 12:00 Your pre-booked time slot at the Throne of the Black Madonna. No queue — your spot is reserved.
- 12:30 Short break for a coffee or a picnic at one of the viewpoints near the basilica.
- 13:00 Visit the Museum of Montserrat — Caravaggio, Picasso, Dalí, the archaeological wing. Plan around an hour.

- The Throne of the Black Madonna closes between 10:30 AM and 12:00 noon. When you book, pick a time slot before or after that window.
- Pick up your tickets and audio guide at the Tourist Information at the top of the mountain — not in Barcelona.
- The audio guide covers the basilica and the Throne of the Madonna. The museum has its own captions inside; no audio guide is needed for it.

At the Tourist Information at the top of the mountain, right at the entrance to the sanctuary square. Not in Barcelona. Show your voucher and you'll receive printed tickets for the basilica and the museum, plus your audio guide.
You pick your entry time for the Throne of the Black Madonna during checkout. Show up at that time and you skip the line — instead of waiting 20 to 40 minutes at peak hours, you walk straight to the Throne. The Throne is closed between 10:30 AM and 12:00 noon, so choose a slot before or after that window.
The audio guide is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Catalan, Dutch, Japanese and Russian — eight languages in total. It covers the basilica and the Throne of the Black Madonna.
The boys' choir (Escolania) is free to attend in the basilica — you don't need a separate ticket. They usually sing Monday to Friday at 1:00 PM and Sunday at noon. There is no performance on Saturday. If you want guaranteed seating, there's a separate Choir Ticket sold by the monastery.
Plan for three to four hours on the mountain — enough for the basilica, the time slot at the Throne, the audiovisual exhibition and the museum at a relaxed pace. Add another hour or two if you want to walk to one of the viewpoints.
